依據海岸管理法第18條規定，一級海岸防護計畫擬定機關應視海岸情況每五年通盤檢討一次，並作必要之變更。109年6月15日公告彰化縣、雲林縣、嘉義縣、臺南市、高雄市、屏東縣等一級海岸防護計畫，為利於114年完成必要之變更，請河川局於112年啟動辦理海岸防護規劃檢討及後續海岸防護計畫通盤檢討。

The Tainan City First-Level Coastal Protection Plan was officially implemented in 2020. In order to conduct a comprehensive review every five years, this review refers to the draft of the Ministry of the Interior’s First Comprehensive Review of the Integrated Coastal Management Plan and follows the guidelines outlined in the Reference Manual for Integrated Coastal Protection Planning and Coastal Protection Plan Formulation issued by the Hydraulic Planning and Experimentation Branch.
