依據「水利建造物檢查及安全評估辦法」及「高屏溪攔河堰安全維護手冊」規定辦理相關定期檢查，目前已完成二次安全評估，其成果與歷年辦理定期檢查結果皆符合營運需求。隨著高雄地區工商發展人口成長，以及面臨極端氣候下河川豐枯流量變化更大，需事先為高屏堰水利構造物及其附屬設施辦理監測、檢查、即時警戒、適時改善及維護管理策略訂定等積極預防作為，以維持攔河堰取水功能與安全，確保高雄地區穩定供水，爰擬訂本委託服務計畫。

The high banks, spurs and sausage bags on the left and right banks are in good condition. The civil structure of underground water facilities is generally good. The flow meter of No. 5 drought-resistant water well is under maintenance, and the appearance of other drought-resistant water wells is normal. The lack of hydraulic machinery and electromechanical parts has been included in the maintenance plan for improvement, and the rest will not affect operational safety and can be operated normally and meet the functions.
