本計畫延續以往多年連續性計畫,進行(1)持續維護石門水庫泥砂濃度觀測站、(2)颱洪期間進行全洪程人工與自動化觀測與(3)以水庫泥砂運移自動化監測與傳輸系統,即時掌握全洪程水庫泥砂運移與異重流資訊,在適當的時機去啟動排砂系統;持續長期蒐集觀測資料,累積不同颱洪事件全洪程觀測資料,並進行觀測資料之品質管理工作,期望藉由嚴謹之觀測資料品管程序,提升觀測資料之信心水準,提供水庫供水防洪防淤操作運轉之參考數據。
本計畫颱風期間全洪程人工觀測,掌握每小時入庫水砂歷線與水庫各排放口水砂歷線,以及異重流在庫區之運移特性,據以量化檢討水庫現況防淤功能,以利評估規劃設計案之水庫更新改善防淤功能。
本計畫觀測數據提供給顧問公司或學術研究機關,可應用在水庫防淤策略規劃、水庫防淤操作模擬研究、泥砂運移水理分析、異重流模式建立等不同面向之研究,提供後續規劃與相關研究改善石門水庫防淤策略精確實用的觀測數據,成為其他水庫解決泥砂問題之重要參考指標。
英文摘要
Following the previous multi-year project, this project performed (1) continuous maintenance of the suspended sediment concentration (SSC) monitoring stations in Shihmen reservoir, (2) manual and automated SSC observation during the entire flood events (due to typhoon or heavy precipitation), and (3) established automated monitoring and real-time transmission system for SSC transport in the reservoir, which constructed the rapid understanding of the real-time sediment transportation and density current condition during flood events, and assisted in the optimization of sluicing tunnels control operation timing. This project also continued the effort in continuous observation data collection, accumulated the essential observation data for the entire flood process during various flood events, and performed quality management of the observation data. It is hoped that through rigorous quality control procedures of these observational data, the confidence level of the observational data would be further improved, which would serve confidently as the reference for the reservoir’s operation in water supply, flood control and siltation prevention.
During typhoon events, the manual sampling observation of the entire flood course was conducted to record the historical line of hourly inflow water-sediment and the discharge outlets. Both previous measurements and the measured migration characteristics of the density current flow in the reservoir area were used to quantitatively review the current siltation prevention functionality of the reservoir, in order to evaluate the planning and design of the reservoir renewal towards the improvement in its desiltation function.
The observation data from this project can be provided to consulting firms or academic research institutions, to be used in various aspects, such as reservoir desiltation strategy planning, reservoir desiltation operation simulation study, hydraulic analysis of sediment transport, density flow model construction and so on. This would further deliver accurate, essential observation data for follow-up planning and related research, in order to improve the desiltation strategy in Shihmen reservoir, which in turn could become an important reference to the desiltation strategy in other reservoirs.
