本為近年來本署已逐步建構溫泉監測井網，以實際了解各溫泉區溫泉水位及水溫狀況，範圍包括北投、烏來、谷關、關子嶺、四重溪、礁溪、蘇澳、瑞穗、知本等9處溫泉區，並於105年及106年以礁溪溫泉為示範區，進行資料加值分析，初步獲得礁溪溫泉區之抽水與補注特性，作為溫泉管理之參考，本計畫將持續進行其他溫泉區資料加值分析，以掌握不同溫泉之抽水與補注特性，並因地制宜地提出合適之溫泉管理策略

Due to its unique geological conditions and abundant rainfall, Taiwan has formed many different types of以 hot spring areas. In order to make sustainable use of hot spring resources, the Water Resources Agency has gradually established a hot spring monitoring well network in recent years to actually understand the distribution and variation of water level, water temperature, and water quality. In order to make more effective use and management of the existing hot spring monitoring data, the Water Resources Agency has promoted the value-added analysis of monitoring data since 2016 to assess the pumping patterns (or behaviors) of various hot spring areas and proposed appropriate management strategies. The project continues to apply value-added analysis of monitoring data in various hot spring areas, and through local interviews to grasp the pumping patterns of different hot spring areas. The evaluation results show that each hot spring has different pumping behaviors. Suggested appropriate management strategies are: 1.Set up hot spring areas, 2.Control hot spring consumption of time and space, 3.Establish monitoring system, 4.Establish smart management system for hot spring resources, 5.Set up classification control measures, 6. Establish hot spring brand and marketing system. The project also reviews the development of geothermal resources worldwidely and its impact on the environment. Thus, three main issues are suggested: 1.Whether the development of geothermal resources will cause resource depletion, 2.Whether the development will cause land subsidence, and 3.The risk of earthquakes induced by the development.
