The basic survey of coastal protection is based on the data of different units in different regions and different years, and the results of coastal operations are scattered. In order to facilitate the integration, application and circulation of coastal operations, WRAP in 2008 began to establish the " Coastal Protection Basic Database (General Seawall) " as the basic coastal survey and knowledge management application. Over the years, we have actively promoted the basic observation and investigation requirements of coastal protection planning, indeed improved the management of maps and provided high-quality data services, strengthened the development of database construction. "Expansion the GIS Functions of the Coastal Protection Basic Database (1/2)" (hereinafter referred to as the project) provides immediate and diversified needs for different users, improves coastal protection management performance, strengthens the application of results, process simplification and innovation, learning, reducing costs, etc. The completed items in this year include the establishment of a Coastal Protection Zone Platform, the development of Coastal Inspection and Disaster Investigation APP, the establishment of Coastal Disaster History, the application of UAV for coastal protection facilities and environmental investigations, and coastal protection basic data open query and online application function. 1. Strengthen the application of results Established a "Coastal Protection Basic Database Platform" to classify the coastal protection results collected over the years according to the confidentiality level and data. The project provided the implementation of the coastal protection related plans and units to enquiry and apply for improving the application of coastal protection results over the years. 2. Process simplification Established the " Coastal Inspection and Disaster Investigation APP and Management System" and integrated the Coastal Disaster Resume, and provided cross-platform services, standardized survey data sheets, and field operations and disaster records to assist the records through mobile devices to streamline their operations and accelerate the efficiency of data queries. 3. Innovative learning In the application of UAV for coastal protection facilities and environmental investigations, the project completed the image capture of the seawall about 12 kilometers and produced an orthophoto image to provide image overlay on the platform. 4. Reduce costs The "Coastal Protection Basic Database Platform" provides online information enquiry and application functions to streamline the application process and enhance the efficiency of data sharing. The "Instant Coastal Patrol and Disaster Reporting APP and Management System" can assist in external inspections and disaster records to enhance operational efficiency. By application of unmanned aerial vehicles to coastal protection facilities and environmental investigations, this project shortenes the time of aerial photography with advanced aerial photography technology, and accelerate the production process of image results. The results of this project improve the overall operation process and benefits, reducing the time-consuming, manpower and cost .
