寶二水庫管理機關經濟部水利署北區水資源局(以下簡稱北水局)，為確保水庫蓄水及營運期間壩體之安全及穩定，以提供下游民眾生命財產之安全保證，除致力於寶二水庫各項工程結構物之維護工作外，並將大壩安全監測分析列為重點工作。爰此，利用庫區已設置之監測儀器做長期觀測，並將觀測資料做分析研判，以了解水庫營運期間之壩體行為，俾確保水庫安全及水庫標的功能之發揮。

Abstract The Second Baoshan reservoir is located at Baoshan Township, Hsinchu County, is a off stream reservoir which water delivered from the Shangping stream. The main dam with height of 61 meters is a zoned compacted earth dam with impervious core. The owner, WRANB (Northern Region Water Resources Office of Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs) entrusted SINOTECH (Sinotech engineering consultants, Inc.) to conduct the routine surveillance for this dam and auxilities safety in 2017. This report is the results of the monitoring data and inspection review. According to the results of this project, the structure of dam body is in good condition, no any abnormal of leakage, seepage, surface deformation etc. According to the inspection results of major civil facilities and hydraulic machinery and facilities such as dams, spillways, intake facilities, water pipeline facilities, reservoir rim and Shangping Creek weir (diversion facilities) and other facilities etc. un this year. No abnormal codition observed could affect the dam safety and operation. In the previous, the outflow of foundation drain of spillway chute been found same particle material. After setting filter drain, no obvious out flow of particulate material been observed in passed three years. In December of this year, the official changed the export of blind ditches into a permanent filter drain. The filter material was divided into fine, medium and coarse three layers according to the out flowed particle size. After the setting, the condition was good and the drainage condition was normal. It should be continue observing in follow-up surveillance. According to the monitoring and inspection results of Baoshan sliding zone this year, the mass which sliding in March 2016 has no further movement. Another potention slope of pipelines are located above the No. 1 and No. 2 pipeline bridges. Two Inclimometer observation well have been drilled in July of this year. Although the monitoring results show no deformation development,continuely monitor should be perform in follow-up surveillance.
