本局「五河局轄區洪水預報系統」(Distributed Runoff And Inundation Nowcast System for Bajhang River，簡稱DRAINS)於民國98年自水利署「分散式洪水預報系統」完成系統移轉，目前已完成轄區內四條主要水系之洪水預報系統，可透過該系統即時掌握預報水情資訊，同時開發網頁化預報展示平台，以供資訊傳遞。防汛地圖彙整轄區內雨情、水情觀測資訊，整合過去淹水調查紀錄與縣市政府雨量計、水位計及CCTV，提高轄區內資訊廣度的水平整合。未來，本計畫續以轄區內整體防汛整合作業為導向，除提高汛期時期資訊提供品質外，同時提昇本局相關洪水預警及防汛作業之效能。
