雙溪水庫規劃於新北市雙溪區丁子蘭溪與其主流雙溪之匯流口南方約800公尺處，刻正由本所委託辦理「台灣地區北部區域雙溪水庫可行性規劃檢討(5)-環境、生態專題-第二階段環境影響評估」作業，而水庫施工營區等工程尚在檢討調整中，土地權益關係人可能會增加，同時本水庫預定地近年來有多筆土地交易紀錄，故擬就土地權益關係人及水庫周邊關心團體等進行溝通宣導工作以化解民眾疑慮，同時配合環境影響評估建置資料庫以供本所運用，爰辦理本計畫。

Shuangxi Reservoir is located in Shuangxi District, New Taipei City. It is considered an important water resource infrastructure by Water Resources Planning Institute (WRPI). The feasibility planning review work started in 2011, which involved a series of communication and promotion tasks, gaining the support from the majority of residents, land owners, and local people in Shuangxi reservoir area. Considering that the reservoir Greenfield site possesses rich ecological resources, a group of scholars and experts visited the site on 4th February 2016 and concluded that the construction plan needed further modification. WRPI, has made adjustments to the construction camp location and soil management methods while abiding by the conservation principles of “avoidance, reduction, alleviation, compensation” etc. This gives rise to new interested parties; hence, communication work specifically targeting the new interested parties will be organized. In response to the adjustments to the reservoir construction plan, the environmental enhancement plan for areas surrounding the reservoir proposed in the “Northern Taiwan Shuangxi Reservoir Feasibility Studies Review (4) – Environment and Ecology Theme – Environmental Enhancement and Multi-Media Briefing (2015)” requires reviews.
