轄管洪水預報系統擴充及維護，除採用最新水文地文資料進行系統更新並維護既有功能之外，將持續參數檢定驗證，並針對洪水預報時期所需功能進行擴充，以提升九河局洪水預報之作業成果與品質。

The 9th River Management Office (RMO-9) has started the Advance planning of flood forecast system establishment in 9th River Management Office jurisdiction areas project in 2012, and continued by Integration of flood warning and flood control operation in 9th River Management Office jurisdiction areas in 2013. Currently, the flood and inundation forecast system in Hualian River and Xiuguluan River are implemented, and are now able to provide in-time flood information and inundation analysis in typhoon events. In 2014, the content-oriented project work in the area as a whole flood prevention work targeted offers typhoon torrential rain event since the period rainfall forecast information from upstream, downstream integration into flood forecasting, the mining consistent standardization of operating procedures provide RMO-9 of customs, rainfall and hydrological information; supplemented by other relevant water mark gauge settings and analysis, flooding investigation, integrated whole within the jurisdiction of the relevant conduct of business and push for flood control. This year (2015) has continued to work in previous years, in addition to the need to preserve the jurisdiction of RMO-9’s flood forecasting and maintain mapping system. Verification of events through the system has been updated to ensure the reliability of event’s forecast results; providing professional typhoon hydrological information, gather team of flooding investigation and writing analysis reports; maintain the data interface from Hualien county government, ensure the quality of information; combine the flooding investigation’s information of typhoon event and provide to duty workers. In addition, to simplify the job during the typhoon event, to develop interface of the flooding information, enhance flood control efficiency. In order to avoid relying on single source of forecast rainfall caused the bias estimation of water level , planning interfacing multiple sources of rainfall forecast products, improve the reliability of the hydrologic forecasting.
