石門水庫為北台灣地區重要水庫，提供數百萬人所需用水。為延長其使用年限，勢須排洪減淤，但可能影響下游河道生態。本計畫執行兩年調查與研究(103~104年)，目標為瞭解石門水庫排洪減淤操作對下游河道生態環境之影響，研擬減輕下游河道生態衝擊之操作策略，俾利管理單位推動石門水庫之永續經營。
英文摘要
Shihmen Reservoir is an important water resource in northern Taiwan, providing millions of people with water. In order to prolong its life span, it is needed to release silt during typhoons, which may impact the downstream river ecosystems. This project extending for two years (103~104) aims to assess the ecological impacts on the downstream by releasing silt and water from the Shihmen Reservoir during floods and to develop the mitigation measures. Potential environmental impacts were categorized into water and sediment quality; biological impacts were further categorized into biodiversity, ecological function, and habitats.
