自民國96年起即將石門水庫作為水環境教育基地，展開石門水庫環境教育與生態保育之積極推動落實，更在民國100年《環境教育法》通過後，依據該法及其他相關法令，發展石門水庫環境教育，透過彙整分析庫區內豐富之自然與人文環境生態資源、設置「石門水庫環境教育推動小組」、規劃設計環境教育課程方案與教材教法、落實環境教育基地之經營管理，並在101年12月3日通過行政院環境保護署認證，正式成為環境教育設施場所，提供在地學校、民間團體及全國社會大眾環境教育專業服務。 石門水庫於民國103年即將邁入經營管理50年，在此期間有許多水利工程人員及管理者投入石門水庫的永續經營管理。近年來多元的環境教育參與者對於石門水庫的自然與人文環境的生態資源及環境教育基地的整合發展有了殷切的願景，本局為深化石門水庫環境教育設施場所之整體內涵，提供更佳之環境教育專業服務，擬整合石門水庫庫區環境生態資源及基地發展，提升石門水庫作為愛水環境教育基地之整體意象，依據石門水庫歷年推動保育治理之相關資料紀錄及石門水庫愛水環境教育設施場所之環境特色進行資料彙整與分析，促進石門水庫環境教育參與者瞭解石門水庫水資源生態保育與環境教育之理念。本整合計畫將對於石門水庫環境教育之推廣與永續發展達到實際助益。

In “The Project of Shimen Reservoir Ecology Resources and Environmental Education Base Promotion of Integrated Development (1/2) “, Northern Region Water Resources Office had Published 《The 50th anniversary of Shimen Reservoir》special issues, Apply 6 environmental education activities, and by investigating the key Participants of the environmental education for Shimen Reservoir, had presented the meaning of Shimen Reservoir’s striking results of environmental education, that owned the historical value and significance. On the other hand, this Project, which designed the “Shimen Reservoir Environmental Education Base imagery map” for forming the image of the Shimen Reservoir Environmental Education Facilities By this Project, there have 2 Teaching materials” Entirely different ~Shimen Reservoir stratified water work ”and” Water to electricity to ~Shimen Power Plant” had been designed, which could be coordinated with Zengwen Reservoir environmental education execution and promotion. This project finished by integrating environmental and ecological knowledge, developing Digital information platform and application, discovering environmental education resource, designing environmental education materials, Training environmental education intern teachers ext. to reach the purpose of Shimen Reservoir environmental education eco-knowledge management and deepen the meaning of Shimen Reservoir environmental education. To achieve the core objectives of sustainable development of water resources environmental education.
