本計畫為「氣候變遷對水環境之衝擊與調適研究計畫」之分項計畫，其目的為產製台灣地區氣候變遷情境資料供主計畫使用，並評估氣候變遷水文情境，作為主計畫進行衝擊評估、脆弱度風險分析及調適策略研擬之基礎。

Aiming to assess the impact of climate change on water resources and to formulate adaptation strategies, the Water Resources Agency (WRA) initiated a four-year (2010 – 2013) Climate Change Impact Assessment and Adaptation program (CCIAP). Due to the nature of water resources planning and design for which WRA bears the administrative responsibility, it is imperative for CCIAP to consider the impact of climate change on various hydrological regimes at local and event scales. Thus, among a group of CCIAP projects, this project aims to assess the impact of climate change on event-rainfall and streamflow properties in Taiwan. Following the methodologies of scenario setting and data generation and analysis set out by the 2010-2011 CCIAP, project in 2012- 2013 aims to generate design rainfall depths of various design durations and return periods and ensemble rainfall sequences for the chosen projection period for rainfall stations in different watersheds in Taiwan. Output data from this project can facilitate the rainfall data requirements of other related CCIAP projects and will be provided at the users’ request. The project was executed in two years (2012-2013). During the course of this year’s project(2013), a workshop, participated by experts and potential users in public and private sectors, was held to discuss and finalize various relevant issues including scenarios setting and usage of downscaling data provided by the National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Reduction (NCDR).In 2012, estimation of the projection-period design storm depths at 44 rainfall stations were completed. In this year, there are 39 rainfall stations were completed.
