彰化地區海岸地勢平坦、潮差大,潮間帶寬可達3公里以上,形成廣大的潮間帶生態系。經由河口與海洋帶來豐富的營養鹽形成半淡鹹水的泥質灘地潮間帶系統,更是許多魚蝦貝類繁殖產卵的場所,孕育了豐富的生命力和生物量。此外,此區也是南來北往過境度冬候鳥,重要的覓食和補充能量的加油站及淺海養殖漁業牡蠣和文蛤重要的生產區。惟本區域內海岸防護構造物之型式,主要著眼於防災功能而欠缺環境生態考量,使潮間帶泥灘地棲息生物之活動空間受限。
為促進彰化地區海岸生態環境之復育與景觀營造,並研擬一套能有效保護海灘,且具有生態效果之新工法,遂辦理本計畫(兩年之延續性計畫)。期能增加泥灘地棲息生物之活動空間並達到景觀環境改善的效果,並提供未來相關辦理海岸防護工程的參考。
英文摘要
The width for the intertidal zone of Changhua coast can reach more than 3 kilometers. It is an important rest station for the winter migratory birds to forage for food and supplement energy, and an important production area of shallow sea cultivated oyster and clam etc. But the main function of existing coast protection structure is focused on disaster prevention and the environmental ecology consideration is insufficient, so the activity space of creatures living in the mudflats of intertidal zone is limited. In order to promote the ecological restoration and landscape construction in Changhua coast, and increase the activity space of creatures living in the mudflats of intertidal zone and achieve the effect of landscape environmental improvement, it is necessary to propose efficient approaches to protect the mudflats of intertidal zone and the ecological environment effectively.
The contents of project are divided into five parts mainly, including design and construction, numerical simulation, topographical monitoring, ecological survey and material durability assessment of mudflats protection approaches. It had already been completed on July 17, 2013. The achievements of numerical simulation are the simulation for the optimal setup position of protection approaches and the simulation for the erosion and settlement of mudflats after the setup of protection approaches; Two topographical surveys were conducted for the topographical monitoring, and the results show that the mudflats around protection approaches had been changed in erosion and sediment; The ecological survey was conducted three times, and the contents include the water quality, bottom quality and bottom perching investigation; The material durability assessment includes the bending and compression test of bamboo material and regular field visual observation.
The main efficacy of the project in this year is: (1) Provide the simulation results for the disposition direction and position of protection approaches. (2) Provide physical durability experimental data for construction material of mudflats protection approaches, which is able to be used as design reference of follow-up relevant approaches. (3) Provide the design of mudflats protection approaches, and mudflats stability at test area and the influence of approaches on bottom perching creatures, which is able to be used as the basis for the analysis of approaches in this project.
The bamboo pile grating approach, bamboo pile fixing shore approach and porous cylinder approach are adopted in this project, in which the bamboo pile fixing shore approach is better. It has better function for slowing down flow speed, reducing wave height and protecting mudflats. The construction period is relatively short, the efficacy of approach is still not obvious, and the achievement will be more significant after some time.
