依據「推動節約用水，推廣再利用的中水系統，使全國平均之人均用水量，逐步降至每日250公升以下。」之環境政策，並延續過去推動節約用水之經驗，落實國家水資源永續經營之理念；本署為推動機關及學校加強節約用水工作，期藉由輔導機關及學校採用省水設備及雨中水利用，積極做好節約用水工作，減少不必要的用水浪費，俾作為全民表率，共同創造節水型社會。

Water Resources Agency has been devoted to the promotion of water conservation and recycles for years that have also been effectively reduced water usage of certain targets and lighten the pressure of developing new water sources as well. To further extend water-saving performance and reinforce the water-saving measures of institutions and schools, this program has expanded the information dissemination to effectively provide water-saving technical services to those units which need to improve their water usage or water-saving measures. This year, the registration of sign-up was and enthusiastically. There were 208 applicants in total and all actively sought for being selected. It was hoped the experts could instruct the applicants to examine the water-saving measure and improve the water usage. This eagerly sign-up situation has shown water-saving issues become more highly valued by all the water consumers. Foundation of Taiwan Industry Service (FTIS) has completed 25 cases of water-saving technical counseling this year (2011). The highest water-saving potential by industrial sector was 32.7% in secondary schools. The highest water-saving potential by counseling area was south region of Taiwan, 35.3%. Overall, the total water-saving performance was 489 thousand cubic meters/year, which exceeded the set annual target--250 thousand cubic meters/year; the overall water-saving potential was 23.2%, in line with the objectives of this project.

經濟部水利署推動「機關及學校節水技術輔導計畫」，旨在透過技術輔導，加強機關學校節水措施，以降低用水量並減緩新水源開發壓力。 本年度計畫吸引208家單位踴躍申請，最終完成25案節水技術輔導。成果豐碩，總節水績效達48.9萬立方公尺/年，遠超25萬立方公尺/年的預期目標，整體節水潛力為23.2%。其中，中學的節水潛力最高（32.7%），南部地區則以35.3%居冠。計畫成功達成所有預期目標。
