依據國家地理資訊系統第三期計畫（96年至105年）中，本署配合辦理「水利地理資訊決策支援系統」計畫，賡續擴充本分項計畫並應用網際網路結合水利空間資訊，建立整合式管理支援系統，以協助本署各單位及所屬機關應用地理資訊系統及資訊管理系統，提升施政績效與決策品質，達成電子化政府之施政目標。 隨著3D GIS技術之發展，以及地理資訊展圖核心與共享服務技術之進步，服務導向架構已成為趨勢，爰此，99年度始加強推廣WEB-3D-GIS系統之API服務機制，完成挖填方分析與集水區分析，擴充系統之加值運用功能，落實3D-GIS功能共享理念，提升服務範疇與品質。 本年度續朝共享平台之理念賡續推動，除強化調整系統功能、增補相關資料、再開發剖面(Profile)及地籍選取(Select)之API模組，並擬規畫建置水利共享影像圖資專區、功能取向之快捷三維圖台等，並加強教育訓練及系統宣導，俾使系統應用落實應用，達成資源共享共用之目標。

Another response to the demand for sharing, remote sensing image information platform construction, theme photo galleries, theme event storage, and update the WMS image distribution service mechanism for colleagues within the Department of query display, providing better information sharing service.System application services to strengthen the three-dimensional version of the update server platform to provide smoother performance efficiency, and strengthening plane plot mechanism, integrated cross-section information, update custom paint module, and integration of existing systems, services and account access mechanism . API services include terrain profile, select the cadastral information, designation of catchment erosion and deposition and calculation of the terrain and other services are registered Water Resources Agency WRIPS platform, and construct three-dimensional platform to provide the Water Resources Agency Web information systems. This system is also an open GIS by employing internet and achieves the goal for sharing the real-time and historical GIS data effectively to all its users on a nationwide base.
