賡續辦理「地理資料倉儲中心」擴充維運，建構完整地理資訊系統基礎環境資料倉儲，以促進空間資訊資料應用，強化資源整合機制，提升地理資訊圖資共享環境，並藉由網際網路開放式系統，暢通資料使用之供應管道，降低使用門檻，實現國土資訊系統資料互通共享之目標。

The Inquiry and Supply System of Water Resources Data has been established and maintained more than 10 years. The system has unified the format of hydrologic and water resources data and collected the data which were not shared between agnacies. Therefore, there is an urgent need to use modern GIS and Web technology to establish a computerized system for data collection, distribution, storage and management. The Inquiry and Supply System of Water Resources Data was renamed into “GIS Information Center” in 2011 is one of the important parts of NGIS. The system integrated all hydrologic and water resources data collected by all water related agencies, and stored those data in four database centers; they are Northern, Central, Southern and Eastern regional database centers. Those data have been recompiled and then stored into a uniform format. The technology of XML Web Service was employed to create a mechanism which enables the data collection agencies to update and retrieve data directly from the regional database center. The system has accomplished to consolidate all hydrologic and water resources data. This system is able to provide data for the analyses in water resources managements, channel improvement and disaster prevention projects for various agencies. This system achieves the goal to share the data between the agencies and to improve the efficiency to service the public. In 2003, this system won the outstanding IT Product award and the Excellent Achievement award in NGIS. An English version of this system was created in 2004 for the convenience of the foreign users. In 2004, this successful case as e-government has been reported on the Global View magazine. In 2006, this system won the Golden Map award from TGIS association. In 2011, it won two awards for the version in 2010 from TGOS, NGIS Service award and NGIS Supply System award, which is approbation to this system. In order to enhance the performance of web GIS, project brings into maps applied by newest Taiwan Datum (TWD97) and continues collecting data from other agencies, applies brand new map demonstration technology, named Hybrid map, which provides a smooth and visual users’ interface and operation. Also, we update the newest cadastre map, remote sensing images and metadata in the system. The project uses Flex technique to give users an interactive interface for time series data. The project not only provides WMS and WFS, also ESRI Map Service to make the employees in the Water Resource Agency to apply for the map service easily. This year we register WMS service on TGOS and WRISP as well. To enrish the system, we also add new functions, like map bookmark function, statistic map, API modules, WS map service and update the functions of incident maps, area analysis and real-time water condition to facilitate the water resource agency business running. The aim of this project is to develop a national system for inquiry and supply hydrologic and water resources data for various applications. This system is also an open GIS by employing internet and achieves the goal for sharing the real-time and historical GIS data effectively to all its users on a nationwide base.
