基於有效落實本署海岸管理的既定任務，以及全面性調查本署管轄之海堤（含事業性海堤）歷年來建造數量、屬性及數化海岸線長度基本資料，本署於94及95年度分別辦理台灣本島及各主要離島海堤調查及建置「海堤GIS管理及查詢資訊系統」，提供基本資料查詢應用，成效良好，惟該系統應用圖資係收集本島民國90年至92年既有1/5000比例之海岸區航拍影像圖，迄今又歷5年，海岸自然及人文變遷及海堤興修變化甚巨，有必要辦理維護更新，擬購置最近期農航所攝製完整海岸區數值底片，以航測技術重製海岸區正射影像圖、海堤及海岸變遷補充調查成果圖資、土地利用現況等數值圖資，佐以蒐集整理本島各海岸地區相關環境圖資，維護更新既設海岸基本資料庫並增加最新3D地理資訊展示應用，提供海岸管理資訊查詢、展示及套疊出圖等應用，期使達到更符實際之管理績效。

This plan cooperate the central authorities rivers spatial information system (3D WebGIS)with WRA Maintenance set up, plan webpage of proving in unison Can understand information such as this plan basic materials intension and source to offer to users simple and easy.The cooperating with the integrated system to revise, will have function construction developed in the new system originally Offer application and convenience on user's business effectively.
