「新店溪青潭水質水量保護區水源生態教育宣導計畫」目的在於宣導正確的水資源保育觀念，健全居民與民眾積極參與水源保育事項，培植保育概念，提升新店溪青潭水質水量保護區水質水量之潔淨與充沛，達到永續台北水源特定區水資源保育與利用之目標。
本次計劃共執行六個工作項目，首先為落實水資源向下紮根的理念，舉辦「臺北水源 我繪守護」水源生態繪畫比賽，讓學子透過繪畫創作感受水源之美，已完成徵稿及評選，其次，為鼓勵民眾積極參與水資源保育行動，舉辦「臺北水源 魅力四攝」水源生態攝影比賽，已完成徵稿及評選；第三，將繪畫比賽優秀作品彩繪於坪林污水廠外牆，第四，為宣導水源生態保育，於新店捷運站租用一片大型燈箱，以宣導民眾珍水惜水一同愛護水源，第五，為加強宣導水資源保育觀念，特於四鄉一市等五個地點懸掛戶外帆布廣告，最後，製作宣導筆記本。
