Cho-Shui Chi, one of the major rivers in Taiwan, has the largeat drainage area. It plays an improtant part in the development of the island's water resources, because it is rich in flow and its downstream area is densely populated. In view of the urgent needs for irrigation and power generation in the area, the Commission has set up Cho-Shui Chi Working Office to conduct geological and hydrological investigations and surveys se as to provide necessary data for the study and planning of the basin's various development projects.
