In response to the continued growth of industrial water use and long-term over-pumping of groundwater, the current water resources policy has gradually shifted from development to management. In order to manage effectively, it is necessary to have a comprehensive understanding of each target’s water and its source in order to grasp the core of the problem and draw up the correct direction. The Water Resources Planning Institute(WRPI) is in the "Major Water Resources Planning and Operation Project (2014-2019)", and conducts water conservancy survey water survey and groundwater availability survey and analysis, and In the 2014 , the advance plan was reviewed. In addition to the review of the current situation, the investigation and analysis and methodology were established. At the same time, the funds for the implementation of the overall plan and the implementation plan for the annual plan were also proposed.
According to the results of its implementation, the amount of work required and the funding required for subsequent follow-up are quite large. In order to confirm that the planning method of the prior plan is reasonable and feasible, the water survey results and the groundwater model can be cross-validated to ensure the implementation results of the subsequent plans. We have a pilot project in Huwei Township, Yunlin County. Through the implementation of the pilot project, it is feasible to confirm and verify the method established in the previous project. According to the results of the pilot project, the groundwater availability survey method should be technically feasible, and the main benefit of mastering the reliable groundwater availability is to provide reference for water resources planning and water resources management in the joint management of groundwater and groundwater.
