purpose
This report demonstrates water-quality monitoring data and their annual variance of the five surfaced water-bodies, including Zengwen Reservoir, Mu-Dan Reservoir, Agondian Reservoir, Gaoping Weir, and Jiaxian Weir which were administrated by the Southern Region Water Resources Office.
Execution method
Test analysis using the quality and subsequent data judged, using a single index, water quality status integrated indicators and statistical analysis tools, comprehensive assessment five water body, in order to understand relevance and quality secular change situation between the quality parameters and environmental factors, as Basis for reservoir management. A total of 24 samples a total of 30 samples. Monthly Routine sampling and testing, in addition to the conventional water quality testing, according to the actual need will be odor intensity water analysis, test analysis counting the algae, algal toxicity test analysis, and the analysis of pesticide reservoir fish fishing inspection, sediment product radioactive material inspection and waters of ecological survey analysis Grandpa shop reservoir quality testing, release.
This program, from 2018 January to December, monthly routine sampling and detection analysis, and regularly pay to send monthly test results, statistics to December, all the data analysis has been completed .
Implementation results
Zengwen Reservoir
The project that Zengwen Reservoir exceeded the water quality standard includes 7 items such as Biochemical oxygen demand , suspended solids, dissolved oxygen, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, manganese and coliform. Calendar data displayed by manganese, ammonia and correlation with suspended solids, ammonia and manganese superscalar, to be caused by suspended solids on. WQI, the surface layer had the text reservoir is 74.5~91.2belonging good good to excellent, mostly good level, an average value of 85.2 for the good level;non-surface layer was 76.6~90.6moderate to good, a large part reflect good level, The average value of the non-surface layer of good grade 85.9; 66.6~89.0 catchment belonging good to excellent, mostly high grade, the average value of 84.8 catchment belonging excellent level.
WQI index and surface water quality in the catchment area are between good to excellent rating, non-dielectric surface in the medium to high grade, non-poor surface water quality reasons, the first half of rain is very rare, caused the water level is low, the bottom is easy to cause disturbance Suspended solids and manganese increased on average. Overall, WQI 85.3 year average level as well, is a good quality of the waters.
The RPI value of the river pollution index of Zengwen Reservoir is between 1.0 and 3.25, which is unpolluted to moderate pollution level. It is slightly polluted from January to June. Since the beginning of July, the rainfall has caused the turbidity of the rivers in the catchment area to rise, and the water quality appraisal has generally been downgraded. The river outlet outside the reservoir area is affected by the reservoir's enhanced water storage and the reduction of water discharge. The river water level becomes lower and the turbidity increases. The water quality is generally degraded from July to September, and it is upgraded to the uncontaminated level from October to December.
The CTSI of the eutrophic index is between 25.8 and 64.5, which belongs to the poor to the superior grade, and is mostly the general grade. The indicators of good nutrition are affected by transparency. From March to June, it is in the dry season. The water level at the measuring point is shallow. The water surface disturbance makes the sediment and suspended solids rise, which makes the water body turbid and the transparency is deteriorated, resulting in high CTSI value.
The overall algae count is between 300~2,700/mL, and the main species is blue-green algae. The reference is made by the Japanese Aquatic Resources Protection Association to determine that the monitoring point is too nutritious. All algal toxin measurements were in accordance with the WHO limit standard of 1.0 μg/L.Both 2-MIB and Geosmin measurements were in accordance with Japanese standards (2-MIB < 20 ng/L, Geosmin < 10 ng/L).
All measurements of pesticide analysis were below the detection limit.
The monitoring results are in line with the "Announcement ofCommodity Radiation Limits" of the Atomic Energy Commission of the Executive Yuan and the "Points for Limitation of Radioactive Content in Drinking Water". The total Alava concentration limit is 550 Bq/L and the total beta concentration limit is 1,800 Bq/L. The iodine-131 limit is 300 Bq/L, and the total content of cesium-134 and cesium-137 is 370 Bq/L.
Mu-Dan Reservoir
From 1 to 9 months, the Mu-Dan Reservoir had exceeded the Grade A water quality standards, including pH, suspended solids, dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen demand, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, manganese and coliform. At pH value from January to December, there were 54 points in the reservoir area with 34 points exceeding the benchmark; all suspended solids exceeded the standard in July and were high. June was the lowest month for the Peony Reservoir in the past three years. The first heavy rain in the upstream catchment area brought abundant water to the sediment, and the original water level of the reservoir was low, resulting in high turbidity in the whole area, natural settlement, etc. The factor returned to the previous average value in August; the total phosphorus counted 54 points in the reservoir area from January to February, 10 of which exceeded the standard, and the over-standard position was mainly at the bottom of the inlet. The rivers outside the reservoir area exceeded the baseline values in May and June; the coliform group exceeded the standard at 31 points in the reservoir area from January to December. The downstream of the Peony Creek settlement outside the reservoir area, since the monitoring began in January 2016, did not meet the Class A benchmark value, indicating that some people should be discharged from the untreated wastewater to the river.
The water quality index WQI is between 64.6 and 92.8, which is a good to excellent grade. Most of them are excellent grades, and the average value of 83.5 is an excellent grade. Most of the water quality in the reservoir area is of good grade and the water quality is good. Some RPI in the catchment area is between 1.0 and 3.25, which is not (slightly) polluted. The Mu-Dan Reservoir is a water area with good water quality.
The CTSI index value of the eutrophic index ranged from 31.1 to 56.5, which was a poor to high grade, with an average of 44.0 as the general cultivating grade, which was lower than that of previous years. The algae count is between 120 and 740/mL. It is judged that thenutritional status of this monitoring point is too nutritious by the algae ecology. All algae toxins were tested to meet the WHO limit of 1.0 μg/L. Both 2-MIB and Geosmin measurements were in accordance with Japanese standards (2-MIB < 20 ng/L, Geosmin < 10 ng/L).
All measurements of pesticide analysis were below the detection limit.
The raw water radiation monitoring results are in line with the "Announcement of Commodity Radiation Limits" of the Atomic Energy Commission of the Executive Yuan and the "Points for Limitation of Radioactive Content in Drinking Water". The total Alava concentration limit is 550 Bq/L and the total beta concentration limit is 1,800 Bq/ L, the iodine-131 limit is 300 Bq/L, and the total content of cesium-134 and cesium-137 is 370 Bq/L.
Agondian Reservoir
From August to December, Agongdian Reservoir has more than four items of water quality standards, including suspended solids, total phosphorus, manganese and coliform. The suspended solids in the reservoir area are over-standard from April to September. The rivers outside the reservoir area are also exceeding the standard from May to September. This is related to the Agongdian Reservoir in the anti-sinking period of the empty reservoir. During the anti-silting period, the water level drops to a very low level, the dilution effect is not obvious, and the pollutant concentration is high. Yamay are river type measuring points, which are susceptible to rainfall turbulence and low water level, causing suspended solids to rise.
The water quality index WQI of the Agongdian Reservoir is between 45.0 and 88.9, which is a good to excellent grade, and most of them are of good grade. Overall, the average WQI for this year was 76.8, and the Agongdian Reservoir is a water area with good water quality. The Yamay RPI is 1.0~3.25, which is not (slightly) polluted to moderate pollution level. In May, it was caused by rainfall before sampling to increase the pollution level. The RPI value of the historical data is susceptible to the rainy season, and the rainfall scouring leads to an increase in the value of suspended solids.
The CTSI index value of the eutrophic index ranged from 42.3 to 69.3, which was a poor to high grade, with an average of 54.4 as the general cultivating grade, which was lower than that of previous years.
The overall algae count is 1,260~326,180/mL. The main species is blue-green algae. The algae ecology judges that the nutritional status of this monitoring point is too nutritious. All algae toxins were tested to meet the WHO limit of 1.0 μg/L. Both 2-MIB and Geosmin measurements were in accordance with Japanese standards (2-MIB < 20 ng/L, Geosmin < 10 ng/L).
All measurements of pesticide analysis were below the detection limit.
Gaoping Weir
Gaoping Weir has been suspended from January to February. Gaoping Weir has more than four categories of water quality standards: suspended solids, total phosphorus, manganese and coliform.
Most of the Gaoping Weir watershed is a developed area, and the Gaoping Weir watershed has a wide area, and the sedimentation volume of the river is large, so that the coliform group, suspended solids, manganese and total phosphorus are normal over-standard factors, coliform and manganese. The tendency to attach to aerosol concentration changes is similar to the tendency of suspended solids.
WQI is between medium and good grades between 55.7 and 80.1, and is mostly of good grade. Overall, the average WQI for this year was 67.4, and the water quality of Gaopingxi River was a good water area. According to the previous monitoring data, the water quality of Gaopingxi River is mainly affected by the impact of rainfall and human activities, but the WQI value is still within the normal range. The RPI ranged from 1.50 to 3.25, which was slightly polluted to moderately polluted, and most of them were moderately polluted. The reason for moderate pollution is that the suspended solids concentration exceeds 100 mg/L (single pollution score is 10 points), and the pollution index jumps from no/slightly contaminated to moderate pollution level.
Algae counts were not calculated in the second and third seasons, and the first seasons were 10,120/mL. The main species were blue-green algae. Judging from the algae ecology, the nutritional status of this monitoring point is over-nutrient waters. All algae toxins were tested to meet the WHO limit of 1.0 μg/L. Both 2-MIB and Geosmin measurements were in accordance with Japanese standards (2-MIB < 20 ng/L, Geosmin < 10 ng/L).
All measurements of pesticide analysis were below the detectionlimit.

Jiaxian Weir
There are 8 items such as suspended solids, biochemical oxygen demand, ammonia nitrogen, manganese, total phosphorus, Escherichia coli and lead in the Jiaxian Weir from January to December.
Suspended solids have 18 points from January to December that do not meet the Class A water body benchmark. In the month of the month, only February and April meet the requirements. According to the past data, rainfall is an important factor leading the amount of suspended solids in the river. In addition, in September of this year, the lead level of the three points in the Jiaxian Weir was exceeding the standard. The team added the dissolved lead analysis. The results of the dissolved lead analysis were all below 0.01 mg/L, indicating that the water should be safe after the tap water treatment program.
WQI is moderate to excellent between 61.8 and 89.5, and most of them are excellent grades. Overall, the average WQI for this year was 80.5, and the Jiaxian Weir was a water with good water quality. The RPI value of 1.0~3.25 belongs to the unpolluted to moderate pollution level, which is mainly affected by suspended solids.
The Ttunnel Entrance" algae count is between 340 and 1,140 / mL, and the number of algae is blue-green algae / algae. All algae toxins were tested to meet the WHO limit of 1.0 μg/L. Both 2-MIB and Geosmin measurements were in accordance with Japanese standards (2-MIB < 20 ng/L, Geosmin < 10 ng/L).
