由於河川輸砂率對水文及水庫管理之影響具有相當之重要性,且對於水利設施磨損等提供重要參據,其中河川及水庫懸浮載濃度之資料取得,扮演關鍵性角色,爰此,辦理本計畫水質監測及河川含砂濃度量測等事項,對於水庫之水質狀況須隨時加以掌握,以維水庫營運管理功能。
英文摘要
Severe sediment yields due to rainfall events lead high turbidity water for water supply as a critical issue in ShihGang Dam now. Water turbidity,concentration, and sediment load monitoring are proceeded consequently in this study. The processes of water quality inspection are based on the standard codes (e.g. CNS, EPA) for correlated evaluation, including RPI,Carlson’s TSI, etc. Results indicated that the most water qualities were below Non (Slightly)-polluted. The radiation and heavy metal content were also under the limits.
To efficiently estimate the sediment load during typhoon events (including Typhoon Nepartak, Meranti, Malakas, and Megi), Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology was applied for real time monitoring. It was also used for evaluate the trapped sediment volume in ShihGang Dam cooperated with the inflow-sediment load rating curve which were established in the previous project. For example, peak flow of Typhoon Megi was 3162 cms (9/27 21:00), tatol inflow sediment load was 1427.5 thousand tons, tatol outflow sediment load measured by TDR was 1342.7 thousand tons. In addition, the turbidity measurements are provided to
facilitate the operation of water supply, especially the relationship between the time delay of the turbidity decrease and the peak flow during the typhoon events.
Results revealed that using TDR is an optimal solution for estimating the sediment load during typhoon events. Readings of turbidity or suspend sediment by the manual sampling are suggested for normal situations. It highly recommended continuing collecting the data for further statistical analysis of the water supply operation.
