依據河川區域種植規定修正規定第3點規定，將高屏溪水系高屏溪本流、荖濃溪、隘寮溪及武洛溪河川區域內高灘地按照河寬、平均坡降、平均流速、高灘地水深等評估參數，將河川區域之可種植區域劃分五等級，另依河川管理辦法第37條規定評估禁止種植區域範圍，便於河川管理工作之執行，及民眾申請案件之管控。

According to existing floodplain farming regulation, this report assesses Gaoping River drainage risk and delineates the cultivatable regions into farming classes in order to provide basic information for future farming permit applications and authority’s management approach. Taking the authority’s management requirement into consideration, reassessment for farming availability classification (5 levels) based on weighted hydraulic parameters (e.g. flow velocity, floodplain depth, slope and channel width) is necessary and has to be performed regulated by the latest regulation. This project has done with the investigation of river floodplain. The river floodplain of Gaoping River is found that rice, corn, snake melon, etc, mostly of low-stem crops. The river floodplain of Laonong River is found that cherry tomato, lemon, eggplant, etc, with lemon as more crop. The river floodplain of Ailiao River is found that areca catechu, pitaya, vegetables, longan, pineapple, lemon, banana, mango, etc, with areca catechu, mango, pineapple as more crops. The river floodplain of Wuluo River is found that pineapple, lemon, areca catechu, and mango. In spite of the lands that classified as Level V due to their locations in the vicinity of bridges, the other lands are classified on basis of the farming regulations, hydraulic analysis and more importantly, management practices. The evaluated cultivatable classes suggest Level V for the floodplain lands in Gaoping River, Level Above-Design-Stage, III, IV and V for the floodplain lands in Laonong River, Level Above-Design-Stage, III, IV and V for the floodplain lands in Ailiao River, Level Above-Design-Stage, III, and V for the floodplain lands in Wuluo River.
