近年來水庫淤積、取水濁度問題日益嚴重,為使水庫永續之經營利用,首要解決的就是泥砂問題,並必須輔以實際的泥砂觀測資料,瞭解河川水文特性,作為水庫操作的依據。有鑑於以往泥砂觀測的方式以人工取樣為主,惟此法後續處理步驟不但費時,且取樣時間受天候狀況限制,造成許多洪水時期的泥砂資料無法採集,而且威脅取樣人員的安全性。為能較精確瞭解曾文水庫集水區內泥砂淤積情形,研發自動化之泥砂觀測技術,確有其必要性,亦為水利水文科技產業中極具應用潛力之範疇。本計畫整體期程共2年,第一年(99)主要需完成激振式泥砂濃度觀測示範站之建置,並完成試驗室之測試工作,此外,亦進行激振式觀測技術之理論及數值模擬之探討。第二年(100)則以建置完成之激振式泥砂觀測示範站進行若干場不同水文條件流量之含砂濃度觀測,並與現地採樣資料進行比測工作。

In recent years, the problems of reservoir sedimentation and water turbidity have become increasingly serious. Sediment problems must be resolved to enable sustainable reservoir operation and use. This must be supplemented with actual sediment observational data to understand the hydrological characteristics of rivers and provide a reference for reservoir operation. Previous sediment observation methods relied on manual sampling, where sampling time was restricted by weather conditions. Additionally, the follow-up processing measures that were required were extremely time-consuming. This prevented the collection of large quantities of sedimentation during flooding and threatened the safety of the sampling personnel. Thus, the development of automated sediment observation technology to understand the sedimentation conditions of the Tseng Wen Reservoir catchments more accurately is required. This topic also possesses numerous potential applications for the water conservation and hydrology technology industry. This study was conducted over a period of two years. During the first year (2010), we constructed vibrating model stations to observe sediment concentrations and conducted laboratory tests. In addition, theoretical and numerical simulation investigations were performed on vibrating observation technology. During the second year (2011), vibration sediment observation stations were established at the reservoir. Sediment concentrations were observed during normal conditions and during typhoons or heavy rain. These observations were compared with data from manual sampling. In addition, a model was used to estimate the relationship between inflowing water and sediment and to plan future observations for the overall reservoir emplacement.
