日本強震！根據日本氣象廳的資訊，福島縣近海在日本時間22日清晨5時59分、台灣時間清晨4時59分，發生芮氏規模7.3的地震，地震深度只有10公里。根據日本媒體報導，當地最大震度「5弱」，相當於震度5級。
日本氣象廳已對福島縣發布「海嘯警報」，恐出現1公尺到3公尺的海嘯；另外，氣象廳也對青森縣太平洋沿岸、岩手縣、宮城縣、茨城縣、千葉縣九十九里・外房發布「海嘯注意警報」，可能有0.2公尺到1公尺的海嘯。
日本放送協會（NHK）主播更不斷呼籲民眾快點避難，「大家請回想311大地震，為了保命，請現在就開始避難。」

２２日午前５時５９分ごろ、福島県沖を震源とするマグニチュード７．４の地震があり、この地震で気象庁は福島県の沿岸に津波警報を発表しているほか、新たに宮城県の沿岸にも津波警報を発表し、高台に避難するなど警戒を呼びかけています。
２２日午前５時５９分ごろ、福島県沖を震源とする地震があり、この地震で気象庁は福島県に加えて、午前８時９分に新たに宮城県にも津波警報を発表しました。

宮城県と福島県の沿岸で予想される津波の高さは最大で３メートルです。

また、青森県の太平洋沿岸と、岩手県、茨城県、それに千葉県九十九里・外房沿岸、千葉県内房と伊豆諸島に津波注意報を発表しています。予想される津波の高さは、いずれも最大で１メートルです。

津波警報が出ている仙台港では午前８時３分に１メートル４０センチの津波を観測しました。また、福島県相馬港で午前７時６分に９０センチ、岩手県久慈港で午前７時３７分に８０センチ、福島県いわき市小名浜港で午前６時４９分に６０センチの津波を観測しました。場所によってはさらに高い津波が到達しているおそれがあり、海岸から離れ、高台などへの避難が必要です。

また、この地震で、震度５弱の強い揺れを福島県のいわき市と白河市、須賀川市、南相馬市、広野町、楢葉町、双葉町、浪江町など、１４の市町村と、茨城県の高萩市、それに栃木県大田原市で観測しました。

このほか、北海道から中国地方にかけての広い範囲で震度４から１の揺れを観測しました。

気象庁の観測によりますと、震源地は福島県沖で、震源の深さは２５キロ、地震の規模を示すマグニチュードは７．４と推定されています。

The quake took place at a depth of 10 kilometers around 6 a.m. local time, the US Geological Survey reported.
The Japanese Meteorological Agency initially calculated the quake a 7.3 magnitude, then later upgraded its rating.

A tsunami warning was initially issued for Fukushima, and a tsunami advisory remained for most of the country’s western coast. An additional tsunami warning was later issued for Miyagi prefecture.

Authorities called for the immediate evacuation of coastal regions in Fukushima and Miyagi, warning of water possibly rising between 1 and 3 meters.

The Japan Meteorological Agency said tsunami waves had already been observed 20 kilometers offshore near the area of Iwaki about six minutes after the quake. Waves were expected to increase in size as they reached land, the agency said.

By 9:40 a.m., the tsunami warnings had been downgraded to advisories for some coastal areas.

By 6:40 a.m., a 60-centimeter wave had hit the port in Iwaki, and later in the morning, a wave of 1 meter 40 centimeters was reported in Sendai.

A 90-centimeter wave was also recorded in the port of Soma.
A magnitude 5.0 aftershock was later recorded at 6:50 a.m. off the coast of Fukushima prefecture, and several smaller quakes also followed.
Minor injuries were reported in several areas, according to NHK.
In Tokyo, about three hours away, people reported several minutes of shaking. Information on any damage was not immediately available.

In 2011, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake rocked the Fukushima region — the largest ever recorded to have hit Japan. Around 20,000 people were killed, and walls of water 30 feet high damaged nuclear reactors.
Following Tuesday’s quake, TEPCO, the operator of the Fukushima nuclear plant, said a cooling system had stopped in one of its reactors, NHK reported. However, there was no immediate danger, and it came back online 90 minutes later, the company said.
