寶二水庫管理機關經濟部水利署北區水資源局，為確保水庫蓄水及營運期間壩體之安全及穩定，以提供下游民眾生命財產之安全保證，除致力於寶二水庫各項工程結構物之維護工作外，並將大壩安全監測分析列為重點工作。爰此，利用庫區定期性之安全檢查與已設置之監測儀器做長期觀測，並將觀測資料做分析研判，以了解水庫營運期間之壩體行為，俾確保水庫安全及水庫標的功能之發揮。

To ensure the safety and stability of the dam during the reservoir’s water storage and operation period, thereby guaranteeing the safety of life and property for downstream residents, efforts are dedicated not only to the maintenance of various engineering structures of the Baoer Reservoir but also to the dams safety monitoring and analysis as a key task. Therefore, periodic safety inspections of the reservoir area and long-term observations using installed monitoring instruments are conducted. The collected observation data is analyzed and evaluated to understand the dams behavior during operation, ensuring reservoir safety and the effective functioning of its intended purposes.
