石門水庫目前以經濟部水利署北區水資源局(以下簡稱北水局)為管理機構。由於石門水庫為桃園地區之重要水源取水及灌溉設施，為及早發現其潛在缺失，並研提適當因應對策，以防止災害發生與擴大，爰此，北水局依據「水利建造物檢查及安全評估辦法」第17條之規定，研提本委託技術服務工作，依據相關法規要求，執行檢查及安全評估，以確保水庫安全性。

Northern Region Water Resources Office, Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs is currently responsible for management of the Shimen Reservoir. Due to the fact that Shimen Reservoir is an important water intake and irrigation facility in Taoyuan area, it is necessary to preemptively identify any potential deficiencies and formulate appropriate countermeasures aimed at the prevention and mitigation of natural disasters. The office of management commissioned Sinotech to conduct inspections and perform safety evaluations of the weir in accordance with Article 17 of the Regulations for Hydraulic Structures Inspection and Safety (水利建造物檢查及安全評估辦法).
