寶二水庫管理機關經濟部水利署北區水資源局(以下簡稱北水局)，為確保水庫蓄水及營運期間壩體之安全及穩定，以提供下游民眾生命財產之安全保證，除致力於寶二水庫各項工程結構物之維護工作外，並將大壩安全監測分析列為重點工作。爰此，利用庫區定期性之安全檢查與已設置之監測儀器做長期觀測，並將觀測資料做分析研判，以了解水庫營運期間之壩體行為，俾確保水庫安全及水庫標的功能之發揮。

Abstract The Baoshan Second Reservoir is located at Baoshan Township, Hsinchu County, is an off stream reservoir which water delivered from the Shangping Stream. The dam with height of 61 meters is a zoned compacted earth-fill dam with impervious core. The owner, WRANB (Northern Region Water Resources Office of Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs) entrusted SINOTECH (Sinotech engineering consultants, Inc.) to conduct the routine surveillance for this dam and auxiliary facilities safety in 2020. This report is the working results of the monitoring and inspection, and the assessment of dam safety.According to the results of this project, the dam body and its auxiliary facilities is in good condition, no any abnormal of leakage, seepage, deformation, failure etc is found.According to the inspection results of Baoshan Second Reservoir facilities, including dam, spillways, intake facilities, water pipeline facilities, Shangping Weir (diversion facilities), rim of reservoir, there are no abnormal defection could affect the dam safety and operation function of the reservoir.A sinkhole occurred at backfill area of the left side wall of lower chute.According the investigation results of tracking test, excavation of sinkhole and endoscope inspection, the sinkhole might be related to migrated sandy silt from the drain outlet through a leakage hole out the connect point of concrete pipe, it shall not affect the stability of the chute.The sinkhole had been filled by filter material and layered compaction.The Baoshan Sliding mass above the water pipeline, which sliding in March 2016 Sta.4.5k-4.6k, the sliding mass has no further movement in 2020.The sliding area has been repaired by Baoshan Township Office at July 2020.following inspection is needed for pipeline safety.
