高屏溪河系(又稱本河系)許多生物資源不僅在主流地區相當豐富,在支流地區亦曾經記錄過相當多寶貴的生態資源,本局曾於民國95及96年及民國100年針對本河系如高屏溪本流、旗山溪、荖濃溪、隘寮溪及美濃溪進行河川情勢調查。計畫主要工作項目為高屏溪河系的河川情勢資料調查,並收集歷年資料結果進行分析。利用河川情勢調查文獻及現況調查所獲得資料,提供適合本計畫河系之生態工程規劃設計應注意事項。
英文摘要
Typhoon Morakot in 2009 caused dramatic changes to the ecological environment and habitats of the Kaoping River Basin. To understand the current environmental conditions of Kaoping River, this project focused on its tributaries, Qishan River, Kouai River, Meinong River, Ailiao River, and Wuluo River, and set up a total of 17 stations to investigate current environmental conditions and creature.
The environmental conditions of streams include water quality, flow discharges, structures, and land use. The River Pollution Index (RPI) indicated that the water quality of tributaries was ranged from non-polluted to moderately polluted. The results of flow discharge survey showed the base flows of tributaries were insufficient in dry-season. Most of the tributaries are natural rivers, and the habitats are diverse. The ratios of the length of levee/revetment to the length of tributaries are ranged from 0.37 to 0.77.
The existing species survey includes Taiwan endemic species, protected species and rare species. According to the survey results of 3 seasons, there are 6 orders 14 families 34 species of fishes, 1 order 3 families 9 species of crustaceans, 3 order 9 families 12 species of mollusks, 4 order 5 families 7 species of annelid, 9 orders 38 families 53 species of aquatic insects, 7 orders 78 species of planktonic algae and 6 orders 75 species of attached algae, 37 families 82 species of birds, 8 orders 13 families 26 species of mammals, 6 families 17 species of amphibians, 9 families 24 species of reptiles, 5 families 101 species of butterflies, 8 families 39 species of odonatan, and 102 families 425 species of plants.
This project has investigated the basic information of tributaries, combined with hydrological data, and set up an ecological resources information in the google-earth system and the database management information system of river’s investigation. By using the stream environment rapid assessment system (SERAS) on evaluating and analyzing the tributaries of this project. The results showed the ecological quality grade is “normal”, while the space utilization and flood-prevention quality grades are from “normal” to “excellent”. This project also applied rapid habitat ecological evaluation protocol system (RHEEP) to evaluate and analyze the current conditions of four sites before mitigation engineering in 2020. The results showed the water corridor continuity and water quality need to be improved.
To improve the current conditions of tributaries, this project has dedicated administrating measures and governing measures based on the investigation.
