台灣西南海岸受海埔地開發、海岸結構物及河川輸砂量減少等影響，海岸多處早已呈現侵蝕後退之情形，近數十年來，台南海岸持續遭受海浪侵蝕而後退。台南北門、七股及黃金海岸近年嚴重侵蝕區域，近年來河川局以佈設離岸式突堤群及養灘工法進行防護改善，於105年陸續完成，本計畫係針對海岸防護工法之成果辦理檢討分析，並以數值模擬進行情境分析，提出未來改善方案。

The scope of this project includes coasts of Beimen tidalland, Tsenwen tidalland seawalls and Golden Coast, and its coastline length is about 18km in total. The consistent retreat of the three coastlines is caused by lack of sediment supply and artificial structures longshore. Moreover, typhoon Talim in 2012 and typhoon Fitow in 2013 damaged the seawalls. After that, the 6th River Management Office did emergency repair to the seawalls. In order to enhance coastal protection, the 6th River Management Office constructed 10 groins at Beimen and Sigu respectively, and also implemented artificial beach nourishment at Golden Coast by plans of related research reports. The objectives of this project are to investigate the effectiveness of groins of Beimen tidalland and Tsenwen tidalland seawalls, and to follow up on the effectiveness of artificial beach nourishment implemented at Golden Coast in 2012. In order to investigate the effectiveness of the coastal protection works mentioned above, the bathymetric and topographic survey results of this project, former topographic survey results and other related data are studied. Furthermore, plans of coastal protection work improvement are formulated by coastal engineering principles or numerical model analysis.
