生態檢核為水環境營造中的重要工作項目之一。本案擬針對區排過去生態資料及區排情勢調查成果如何應用在生態檢核進行研究，利用國內相關生物資料庫及相關案例進行探討分析，並檢視現有已執行生態檢核之情況進行分析檢討，以利後續初擬區排生態檢核作業計畫(草案)並建立生態檢核作業機制流程及推廣運用。

In Taiwan, 1,679 regional drainages were announced, many of the regional drainages distributed in plain area, and they flow through metropolitan areas or agricultural areas. In recent years, due to the rise of ecology and environmental awareness, the looking of the regional drainage is also changing. In early period, the features of the regional drainage were flood discharge and control, irrigation, and etc. But now, ecosystem service such as leisure recreation, hydrophilic space and human development were also emphasized. So the Water Resources Planning Institute, Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs set up this plan, to explore the ecosystem service, including provisioning service, regulating service, cultural service and supporting service, and bring these four factors into the ecological checklist, to make the checklist much better. By using the ecological checklists that were revised in this implementation, to do the analysis of related cases, such as GouBei drainage in Hsinchu County, CheLungPi drainage in Taichung City and Bei drainage in Chiayi City which were used as cases in Planning ecological check in regional drainage, and PuXin creek drainage in Taoyuan City, ChungHsin drainage in Taichung City, and ChuTzuMen drainage in Kaohsiung City, which were used as cases of engineering ecological check in regional drainage. Otherwise, 5 papers of new knowledge about irrigation works were provided. Also, we invited experts and scholars to join the conferences on September 10th and 12th, discussed about the checklist, wish to be used in the future.
