山麻雀的佔據率持續下降,族群數量卻無明顯減少,顯示山麻雀的棲息地持續縮減中,藉由提出山麻雀保育行動綱領草案,希望未來召開專家學者會議,進一步討論山麻雀保育行動之執行;而針對曾文水庫集水區保育對策,包含a.山麻雀繁殖分布長期監測;b.繁殖生態學及巢箱監測;c.透過繫放持續了解山麻雀移動;d.外來種或相近物種之競爭及排擠效應;e.棲地復育試驗;f.象鼻鋼管組裝廠棲地恢復;g.生態檢核制度之落實;h.專家會議之定期舉行。

Compared to the data from previous year,the occupancy rates were declining. However,the overall population did not change much,which indicated that the suitable habitat is decreasing while the population is relatively stable.By providing the draft for Russet Sparrow Conservation Action Plan,we recommend the Southern Region Water Resources Office to continue host the expert meeting to discuss and refine the Action Plan.For the Zhengwen reservoir watershed, we recommend the following conservation strategies: a) monitor Russet Sparrow distribution in breeding season, b) monitor nest boxes and its breeding biology, c)continue banding to understand the movement pattern, d)understand the potential competition between Russet Sparrow and exotic or similar species, e)conduct experiment on habitat restoration,f) restore the habitat at assembly construction site, g)implement the mechanism of eco-checklist when constructions take place, and h)hold expert meetings regularly.
