本項研究計畫為針對目前本署不同屬性之水利工程，蒐集、整理國內或國外相關工程尺寸容許公差資料，整體檢視現行停留檢驗點及完成尺寸不符合規定面臨之問題，進行水利工程結構物及組合構造物尺寸容許公差研擬，探討可行容許尺寸範圍，以作為訂定結構物尺寸容許公差之參據。

For the hydraulic project it is actually difficult to construct the structure shapes as all the same as the design drawing. Especially the project works from construction site survey to contract out and from structure construction to finish work acceptance there may be result some difference in structure shapes. The Water Resources Agency of Ministry of Economic Affairs use the general standard to execute hydraulic structure measurement check and acceptance currently. They did not lead in the concept of construction tolerance yet. If lead in the concept of construction tolerance in structure measurement check and acceptance we believe that will make the structure measurement check and acceptance work easier. The construction tolerance can be accepted by all parties as Principals、Inspectors and Contractors. They will believe that construction tolerance is fair and rational. So as to make a rational construction tolerance standard for our construction tolerance studies that we have to collect many foreign documents and local records. We still invite many senior engineers to convene consultant conferences. Before establishment of “the study of hydraulic structure construction tolerance ”there were many informal discussion and examine conferences to help for. The members of conferences involve scholars、experts and engineers of Water Resources Agency. Simultaneously for the finished structures that their function were qualified but measurement had small differences with design drawings the study also propose a rational suggestion. When execute hydraulic structures check and acceptance work there are involve quality and measurement examine that the construction tolerance could be a standard for measurement. The construction tolerance standard can also be made at hydraulic structures inter check. When lead to construction tolerance standard we suggest a stage from try out to revise and formal execute. The construction tolerance standard may be used by other departments of the government in the future.
