溫泉是台灣珍貴的資源，溫泉產業更是台灣最重要的特色產業。自92年7月溫泉法施行迄今已逾10年，地方政府依溫泉法，據以核發溫泉開發許可、溫泉標章。但隨著科技日新月異、溫泉事業樣態多元化，許多非傳統溫泉區藉由鑿井科技進步，以鑿深井方式取得地熱溫泉水使用。由於屬深層地下水，其水質對人體影響常引起國人關切；另依據現行本署編撰之「溫泉開發及使用計畫書編制參考手冊」中，規定鑿井超過600公尺應檢測重金屬含量，對於檢測出重金屬之後續管理，惟目前國內相關溫泉重金屬含量對使用者影響相關研究稀少，難窺全貌。 有鑑於此，冀藉由本計畫蒐集世界各國文獻，了解各國對溫泉重金屬之處理方式，此外，本計劃需針對我國目前各溫泉區或非溫泉區溫泉重金屬含量作背景值作調查與分析，建立資料庫，供後續本署、政府相關部門或民眾使用之參考。

Hot spring is a valuable resource in Taiwan. In the recent past years, hot spring industry in Taiwan developed very fast. It has become a mainstream in the domestic leisure market. For the hot spring industry management, government verified the "Hot spring mining right" and "Hot spring licensee" according to Hot Spring Act. However, within some non-traditional hot spring area, geothermal water was extracted from the artificial drilled deep wells in the recent years. According to the “Reference Book of Hot Spring Exploitation and Usage Proposal”, the water quality should be analyzed to identify the concentration of heavy metal for the geothermal water from these wells deeper than 600m. In this project, we first collected related literature in the world, including the heavy metal investigation and it’s management and treatment methods. And then, we analyzed the concentration of heavy metal from the hot spring outcrop, hot spring hole and artificial drilled deep wells for building a hot spring heavy metal database. In the future, the information from the hot spring heavy metal monitoring and analysis could be used by Water Resource Agency, local government or hot spring bathers.
