大甲溪流域列為行政院重要河川協調會報之五大重要河川流域，大甲溪流域整體治理綱要計畫(101~104年)，期程僅到104年止，後續實施計畫應持續報院核示，以能延續辦理本流域整體治理。

1、Preface Executive Yuan promoted Master plan for integrated regulation of the Dajia River Basin (2012~2015) and implementation plan (2012~2015) on August 2012. The main purpose of reviewed implementation plan(2012~2015), then development of the next plan implementation plan(draft). Therefore, Water Resources Planning Institute entrusted to perform 「Reviewed Master Plan for Integrated Regulation of the Dajia River Basin (2012~2015) (1/2)」. 2、Initial analysis of execution and results of implementation plan (2012~2015) (part) Executive Yuan promoted 70 projects in Master plan for integrated regulation of the Dajia River Basin(2012~2015). So far, that have been already execution 45, not execution 25 for projects, and carried out 43% for total funding rate.「Feasibility Planning for Water Transport Engineering of Water Resources Conjunctive Use in the Daan and Dajia River」 ready for assessing impact of environmental in second times and the project funding was 32% of total funding, result in carried out total funding rate was poor. From initial analysis results, following issues： (1) There have targets but no funding (2) That is difficult to complete project on time, in order to cooperate project of national land conservation (3) There is no highest power of agency to communicate with each agency (4) That is difficult to complete targets because there is no clear technical documents (5) The project was delayed by administrative procedures 3、Reviewed of execution and results of implementation plan (2012~2015) (part) In currently, achieve performance of the management strategies, that is stable of river bed, integrated services, improvement of water quality, disaster community of management and disaster prevention in watershed, management and planning environmental of river of environmental and ecological.
