本系統為水利署「區域水資源營運管理系統建置計畫」之子計畫，整體計畫於民國95年底完成，96年及97年為保固期。本系統以建立中區整體水資源最佳化之管理調配機制為目標，以本局所轄區域（含括苗栗縣、台中縣市、南投縣、彰化縣、雲林縣）及金門縣為計畫範圍，建置完整之水資源資料分析系統，除可作為水資源中長期調配之研擬外，亦可作為枯旱時水源調配之模擬與決策之參考，惟歷經多年運轉，部分資料及功能需更新及維護。

The Central Region Water Resources Management System was established in 2006, which provided supporting message including drought warning, water allocation, report, data, and account management, to efficiently analyze and manage the water resources. Recently, due to the techniques development and water resources transferring mechanism adjustment, it’s necessary to improve the system to make sure that it can work normally and assist the use of water sources efficiently. The scopes of service for this project are shown as the following: 1.Modify the data source to make sure the data is properly received. 2.Upgrade the system functions of drought warning (to provide the warning light of current drought) and powerpoint management (to improve the performance). 3.Establish the system functions of supply and demand indicate and runoff prediction depending on user requirement. 4.Maintain and back up the system.

經濟部水利署中區水資源局於民國102年3月完成「中區水資源調配管理系統」的更新改善及維護計畫。該系統原於94-95年建置，為提升水資源管理效率、確保資料完整性與分析能力，並因應技術發展及調度機制調整而啟動此計畫。 主要工作包括：系統資料庫更新與補遺、調整資料來源以提高穩定度、檢討並優化系統功能架構（如簡報製作）。功能擴充方面，新增了水庫枯旱預警燈號、用水供需調度示意圖及逕流量預測功能。此外，也進行了系統設備檢修、移轉至虛擬主機、資料庫升級及例行性維護備份，確保系統正常運作。
